The Erin Mills Mall in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, has a new entertainment offering to attract visitors. The mall recently installed “The Green Mini Golf,” a professional-quality, 9-hole mini-putt golf course made from artificial turf from SYNLawn®. The course’s putting greens are designed to approximately a tenth the scale of a regulation golf course, in partnership with Golf guru, Dave Pelz. Two decades ago, the mall had a similar golf attraction, so they’re excited to be able to elevate and offer this activity to the public again after so many years.
New Entertainment Attraction for Community
Whether customers are looking for a fun activity to pass the time or need a break from shopping, this new mini golf installation offers a fun, new entertainment attraction for the community to enjoy no matter their age or skill level. “The Green Mini Golf” was designed to provide a more aesthetically pleasing environment and offer a variety of golf experiences and different skills required for the nine holes. For the cost of admission ($5 general admission, $3 seniors), golfers will enjoy the professional quality course includes rolling mounds, tunnels, two bridges over water, and 12+ inches of base buildup in areas to make the course more challenging to those more skilled in the sport.
Unique Design and Fire Resistant Construction
The Erin Mills Mall selected SYNLawn to help construct the approximately 5,000 square feet course due to the brand’s reputation, high-quality turf and golf expertise. Another important feature that helped win the business was SYNLawn offering the only artificial grass with the most stringent Class A fire rating, which aligned with what the Fire Marshall was looking for in the product used to construct “The Green Mini Golf”.
The team from SYNLawn Toronto used their vast experience installing one of a kind putting greens to plan and design “The Green.” The unique circular indoor space created an exciting challenge to build a rolling and smooth mini golf course made with synthetic golf turf. The SYNLawn Toronto artificial grass team used several turf styles for the project, including Precision Putt, SYNTipede 343, SYNRye 200 Tan, and SYNPlay 48 Blue that incorporated the undulation and mounds the client desired.
